Buying music in Rhapsody 4

How do I buy music from Rhapsody?

You can buy music through the Rhapsody Software, or from the Rhapsody MP3 Store: http://mp3.rhapsody.com

The following are instructions regarding the Rhapsody Software. For more information on the Rhapsody MP3 Store, click here.

From the Rhapsody 4 Purchase Music Help topic:

Most music purchases with Rhapsody are done on the fly when you burn a CD or transfer to a portable player or device.

Add music from the Music Guide or My Library to Burn a CD in the Sources area, and when you start the CD burning process, you will be prompted to purchase any tracks you do not yet own.

Transferring music to a portable device works the same way. (However, downloaded Rhapsody tracks are free to transfer with the appropriate subscription and a compatible portable device.)

You can also purchase music directly from the Music Guide or My Library without burning or transferring, using the right-click menu.

Music purchased from Rhapsody is downloaded and saved on your computer's hard drive. You can then burn it to a CD, or transfer it to a portable player and listen to it on the go, or just listen to with the Rhapsody player any time you want.

Purchased music is saved in the default music folder on your computer (selected in your My Library Preferences) and is added to your Library once downloaded.

You can check to see if a track is available for purchase by right-clicking it in the Mixer, My Library, or a playlist, and making sure the Buy Track(s) option is not grayed out:
