When your phone switches from one network to another (WiFi -> 3G, or 3G -> WiFi), it will appear as if the connection has completely dropped for a moment (usually on a second or two). When this happens, the Rhapsody App detects that the network has dropped and will go into Offline Mode and only show content that has been downloaded through the App for Offline Playback. Once your phone has completed switching networks, the App will automatically go back into Online Mode.
