Can I buy, burn, or transfer this track in Rhapsody 4?
If you are unsure about what you can do with a track
in Rhapsody 4, take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with track types by
asking these questions:
- What do you see in the Track Type column?
- What do you want to do with the
track?
- If you want to transfer the
track, can your device play it?
First, what do you see in the Track Type column?
The type of track determines what you can and cannot do with it. To find out a track's type, look at the Track Type column in My Library. The track will be listed as:
- Subscription
(streamed) - Subscription
(downloaded
to your computer, but not purchased) - Purchased
(from
Rhapsody) or - Imported (no icon).

The Burn column also indicates whether the track is OK to burn as is, OK to
burn if purchased, or unavailable for burning:

Finally, if you want to transfer the track, can your device play it?
If
you are trying to transfer, be sure your device can support the file format of
the track type:
- Streamed tracks are 128 Kbps WMA.
- Downloaded subscription tracks can be 160 Kbps WMA or 128 Kbps RAX
(Rhapsody 4.0 only).
- Purchased tracks are 256 Kbps MP3.
- Imported tracks can be MP3, MP2, RA, WMA, WAV, etc.
