Redeeming a Rhapsody pre-paid download or subscription card

How do I redeem my Rhapsody pre-paid download or subscription card? What can I do if I'm having trouble using my card?

You can buy Rhapsody Pre-paid Download Cards worth $15, $25, or $50, or a Pre-paid Subscription Cards, at most Radio Shack and Target stores, or online at www.target.com.

  • How to redeem your card
  • Wondering how many credits you have left?
  • Getting a "code cannot be redeemed" error?
  • Looking for a refund?

To redeem a Rhapsody Pre-paid Download or Subscription Card:

  1. Go to www.rhapsody.com/mp3card (for download cards) or www.rhapsody.com/prepaid (for subscription cards).

  2. Enter your email address and password, then enter the card number and the code (you'll need to scratch off the back of the card to see the code). If you already have a Rhapsody account, use the email and password you set up for that account.

This transfers the cash value of your Pre-paid Download Card to your Rhapsody account as account credits. For subscription cards, entering your card information activates your membership. A card with its code successfully entered at this page is considered redeemed (used). The card itself no longer has cash value.

  3. Sign in to Rhapsody.com, click  the MP3 Store tab, and start shopping for music!

Note: You may use only one Rhapsody Pre-Paid Subscription Card per account.

Wondering how many credits you have left?

  1. From the top of Rhapsody.com or the MP3 store, click My Account. If you are using the Rhapsody software for the PC, click My Account > Manage My Account.

  2. Enter your email address and password and click the Sign In button.

  3. From the list of options to the left, click Credits. Your Credit Balance is displayed.

Getting a "Code is redeemed" error?

This error message means the credits have already been redeemed to an account. Follow the instructions above to check your current credit balance.

If you do not see any credit and are sure you haven't used up all your credit, make sure you are signed in to the correct account (for example,

if you have a Rhapsody account and a VCAST Music with Rhapsody account, you need to be signed in to the account where you redeemed your card). If this does not solve the problem, please contact Customer Support.

Looking for a refund?

If the code has already been scratched, the card is considered redeemed. If you have a Rhapsody pre-paid card that has not been redeemed and has not had the code scratched, you may return it to your nearest Radio Shack store.
