We liked this remix so much we decided to make it a staff pick. Raman's 2003 album Love Trap began moving her away from classic Indian music, and the Quel Monde! remix of the title track completes the journey. This fresh, mod-influenced song could have been sung by Shirley Bassey in 1964; it shows that electronica and world music can give birth to funky babies.
