These respected tech-house producers have dropped a set of hard, nouveau-electro
beats: The film-noir-inflected "Buffalo Seven" is all doomy, fuzzed-out synthesizer chords,
and "Ping Pong" is a throbbing, entrancing bit of Sunday-morning electronica.
Unfortunately, the vocalists riding on top of the grooves, from the limpid Clair Dietrich to
the ridiculously affected Jeremy, are uniformly l-a-m-e. (RS 905 - Sept. 19, 2002)
