Tahiti 80's second LP, Wallpaper for the Soul, follows the high production standard of Puzzle, boasting a set of songs that are wholly conceived, sparklingly pristine pop. The downfall here, as with much of the band's catalogue, is that the tunes are so downright dandy that they never seem too substantial. Even so, the disco beats and shaking tambourines of "Separate Ways" and "The Train" make the perfect soundtrack for a sunny day at poolside.
