Tex Ritter's beefy baritone will be the first thing to pipe out of your speakers as he sings about bashing in the head of an innocent man. Where such singing cowboys as Gene Autry and Roy Rogers wore the white hats of the "good guys," Ritter wasn't afraid to get in character and don the black hat of the outlaw. But he could also sing the popular gunfighter ballads and sing-alongs that graced many a cowboy's campfire, as heard on the ever popular "Get Along, Little Doggies."
