Texas Tornados

They might be known as a Tex-Mex supergroup, but the Tornadoes really plundered roots music in its entirety, bringing R&B, country, rock 'n' roll, and even Hawaiian music into bed with Mexican folk and whatever else struck their fancy. Their 1990 debut is a shambling, good time affair that practically begs you to crack open a Corona and kick it in the backyard.
