The Affair specialize in catchy, revved-up power pop that draws equally from the classic traditions of the '60s Wall of Sound and hipster-driven '80s revival. Shortly after forming in New York City, the group gained a national audience when Vice Records issued their 2004 single "Honey" on a split 7" with the now-defunct Hominid. The quintet -- vocalist Kali Holloway, guitarist Josh Leeman, bassist Nelson Dellamaggiore, multi-instrumentalist Neel Arant and drummer Marc Pattini -- played around their hometown for a couple years before releasing their 2006 single, "Andy," and they were signed to Absolutely Kosher in the same year. Their debut LP, Yes Yes to You is a tight collection of Blondie-inspired guitar pop, which appeared on Absolutely Kosher early in 2007.
