The Allman Brothers Band

The 1971 album At Fillmore East is considered the Allmans' greatest concert album. But in the early '70s the band barnstormed the U.S., blowing minds everywhere with one amazing performance after another, including two at the massive Atlanta International Pop Festival. Influenced by the Dead, the Allmans took rock jamming to new levels in terms of intensity and longevity. Simply listen to a group like Crosby, Stills and Nash before and after the rise of the Allmans. Their influence was incalculable.
