Though "Never Enough" is included on this two-disc greatest-hits collection, it's not certain whether that's strictly true. This is the third compilation the glamorous Goth avatars released in a four-year span. What rescues this from mere overkill is the bonus disc, which is an acoustic rendering of everything on the first disc. It puts a bold imprint on some of their best songs, such as the lush, perfect romance of "Lovesongs" or the fractured, imaginative poetry of "Let's Go to Bed." Not as accessible or obvious as 1997's Staring at the Sea, it doesn't aim for the stars but instead picks up what was left behind.
