The Everly Brothers

Volume 2 is the second half of the Everlys' 1983 reunion extravaganza. After some old Appalachian folk, the duo fires up "Gone, Gone, Gone," one of its all-time best rockers; remakes Sam Cooke's "You Send Me"; and unearths "Blues (Stay Away From Me)," a country boogie classic by the Delmore Brothers, whose tight harmonies deeply influenced those of the Everlys. For the finale, Don and Phil unleash the rock 'n' roll landmarks: "Bye Bye Love," "Let It Be Me," "('Til) I Kissed You)," and so on.
