The Flaming Lips

This EP extends the Lips' sun-damaged, crystalline pop to the horizon line. The four new tracks take the electronically-tinged route of 2002's Yoshimi LP and add on more Technicolor layers. The remaining songs are fractured remixes, the best being the Postal Service's electro-pop version of "Do You Realize?"

The four originals here -- especially the drifting reverie "Sunship Balloons" -- almost make
this seven-track EP worth owning. But the techno-ish remixes of the title track are tres
forgettable.
