About
Only a band this good can get away with being so snide. Formed following the demise of the Rip Offs, the Infections possess the same supercharged style, letting nothing restrain them as they tear through songs with a fury not experienced since punks destroyed Cleveland in the late '70s. Loud, furious guitars demolish chords in true Dead Boys style, and the band sounds as if they're at each others' throats, with each instrument used as a weapon to try and do the others in. This edgy abandon is tempered by slower, but still thrusting Power Pop/Glam songs marked by stylish, Johnny Thunders-like guitar work. Old-School Punk played to perfection.
