The Mooney Suzuki

The Mooney Suzuki start things off just right on this 11-song EP, unleashing a blazing Sonics/Make-Up/Creation creation called "And Begin" that clocks in under two minutes. From there, they alternate between charging rockers and semi-flitty '60s psyche pop. The thing is that even when these guys are being flitty, the drums remain real loud and the guitars' ragged fuzziness will make you forgive the Farfisa keys and Beau Brummels harmonies. Every song is a party, which is the whole point of garage rock.
