The Night Marchers

Led by guitarist and frontman John Reis, the Night Marchers are essentially Hot Snakes minus Rick Froberg (and drummer Mario Rubalcaba, but he ain't as important). This means See You in Magic sounds a lot like Reis' former band, Rocket From the Crypt. The charismatic dude continues to tinker with his post-hardcore fusion of garage scum, surf jammers and pub rock. At this stage in the game, he's relying more on personality and chutzpah than sonic innovation. But hey, this is party music.
