Dave Navarro joins Jane's Addiction alums Stephen Perkins and Chris Chaney for a project that combines the guitar player's highly distinctive style with melodies on top of melodies. The single "Why Cry" sounds nothing like Jane's or the Red Hot Chili Peppers or even Navaro's first solo record, Trust No One. And yet the new material works: "Why Cry" will stick in your head for a long, long time. "Teahouse of the Spirits" is a Stone Temple Pilots-esque rocker.
