Imagine if these seminal string-band recordings detailed the life of one man. Well then, our friend here gets "drunk as sure as you're born." He then passes around the bottle, wanders off in search of the town bully, drinks some more, leaves a girl and drinks even more. He also tells us of a "n*gg*r" on the run who "lost his wedding shoe." Wow. Americans sure do love talking about them good ol' days and the unfettered joys of country life. But have they ever heard Georgia's Skillet Lickers?
