Barry Gibb's spine problems had stopped the Bee Gees from touring for the decade preceding this 1997 comeback concert. Since Barry couldn't go to the people, the Bee Gees stayed put and telecast their live act across the globe. The concert was a smash, and the resulting live album was a worldwide bestseller. The Brothers update their early rock hits, dust off their disco smashes and play Gibb-penned songs that other artists covered. After the Yanks had turned their backs on the Bee Gees, it must've felt good for them to hear the roar of approval that "Stayin' Alive" received from the American crowd.
