Reviews
The George Harrison-style guitars that introduce "Hey Little Kitty" on this debut from the Peekers go a long way toward making up for the sweetness overkill. Also working in the Peekers' favor is that the songs, imaginatively constructed with drums way over here and the vocals over there and then a piano underneath it all, make for fun listening, keeping your ears busy and your hips moving. The Peekers may be a neo-twee indie pop band, but it can really swing, thanks to a bank-prone rhythm section, some choruses you'll be stuck with for days and those arrangements.
