In contrast to bands that doff Christian music classification after outgrowing the genre, This Providence has debuted as an explicitly Christian band, lyrically, etcetera, on an entirely secular label. Their upbeat tracks are peppy and addictively hooked, almost as energetic as Relient K but with an even more creative melodic sense. They pair modern power punk/pop/emo with alternative rock maturity while toying with bonus sounds like "Road to Jericho"s Beatles-y vibe. The baseline in "Losing Control" is good medicine, but tracks like "Walking on Water" are straight euphoria.
