Transister play solid, well-crafted guitar pop, but perhaps the most compelling element about this band is the production. Singer Keely Hawkes' vocals are recorded extremely close and placed up front, giving them an eerie, whispered quality. Meanwhile, carefully compressed, ultraslick guitars lend a feeling of sterile professionalism.
