After coming up for some pop air on Thug Matrimoney, the legendary Trick Daddy is back with an album "strictly for the thugs." The usual Southern gangsta signifiers are here -- tricked-out cars ("Chevy"), unfair incarcerations ("Straight Up") and regionalism ("The Commentator") -- and everyone from Young Buck to Chamillionare pay respect. Nothing here touches the humor of "I'm a Thug," the creativity of "Sugar" or the politics of "Amerika," but there are some bangers ("Bet That," "Born a Thug") and an extremely explicit "love" ballad ("Tonight") that features "bad bitch" Trina.
