The British trio TUU demonstrates the art of relaxation as misty ambient drones sculpt a humid space for tribal effects and organic beats with this 1996 Beyond Records/Waveform release All Our Ancestors. Flautist Rebecca Lublinski overlays lingering melodies atop Mykl O'Dempsey's warm synths while percussionist Martin Franklin maintains the foreground with the unusual textures offered by water drums, clay pots, Tibetan bells, and gongs. Placid soundscapes overpower your imagination with mystical images of revisiting an ancient world in an exotic locale.
