The addition of guitarist Michael Schenker helped UFO shed their space rock fattiness and turned them into a leaner vehicle for sharp, compact Hard Rock. Phenomenon is the first evidence of this metamorphosis; while its not the band's strongest album, hardcore fans will want to hear Schenker's feral guitar work and the live staple "Doctor Doctor."
