Volumen Cero may not be the most brilliant rock band ever -- sometimes it sounds like they're simply alternating between imitations of Soda Stereo and U2 -- but the guys know how to craft a melody that grows on you. The serviceable dreaminess of "Tenazas," the angular disco of "Planetas," the dialed-down menace of "Astronauta" -- they won't blow you out of the water, but they work their way into your consciousness until you realize that you actually like them.
