Watermelon Slim

If you're from the old school, then you'll hear more than a little Commander Cody in Watermelon Slim's roadhouse raunch 'n' roll. Much like the great Commander, Slim specializes in a mix of piano-driven boogie full of gutsy slide guitar and nostalgic ditties steeped in vintage country swing and honky-tonk. How the artists differ can be heard on tracks like "Wreck on the Highway" and "It's Never Too Hard to Be Humble," both of which are far more blues than country.
