Wolfmother

Only one original member remains from Wolfmother, and this is only their second release. Even a Grammy win and a guest-performance request from its heroes Led Zeppelin couldn't keep the trio together. But the indispensable element of the band stays intact: monster wailer/six-string ace Andrew Stockdale, who leads a charge of three new hard-rock disciples. More manpower means more reasons to bust out the devil horns: Power metal rhythms plow through sludgy fast-twitch licks and riffs, paving the way for Stockdale's Ozzy-ish barks at the moon. Cue air guitar for "Pilgrim" and "Phoenix."
