In the blissed-out tradition of fellow Madchester alum the Stone Roses, WFANFC update dreamy psych-pop with layers of electronic textures and swirling beats. The first half of the band's sophomore album compiles their self-titled debut full-length and the EP Rocket, while the second disc features all-new material. Buzzing bass and fuzzy feedback are softened by a gentle cloud of understated vocals and heavenly atmospherics. Standout tracks "Eighty Eight," a dervish of wa-wa and four-four beats, and "Soft Touch," featuring easy ebbs and gushing flows of distortion, are pure psych candy.
