Description of Asian Underground

The Asian Underground, or "Asian Massive" as some artists call it, is a movement of young, primarily non-resident Indians who marry their love of breakbeat and drum 'n' bass with the musics of their South Asian heritage. Artists like Talvin Singh and State of Bengal refuse to limit themselves to any single influence or heritage: Hindi film music and classical singing mix with the deepest bass and most wicked beats.
