Rhapsody

Bop fans may tut-tut at this attempt to cross master pianist Wynton Kelly over to mod-era pop audiences, but at least record companies once had faith that real jazzers could sell. While Kelly gets to strut his stuff on cuts like "The Bitter End" and "Nocturne," arranger Claus Ogerman (who did similar pop LPs with Oscar Peterson and Wes Montgomery) rules the day on others. Good, clean, My Three Sons-era fun.
