ZOEgirl

About

Since 1999, Zoegirl have zoned in on being Christian pop role models. Admitting that the "Spice Girls route" isn't their natural tendency, they choose to emphasize their love for their audience and to serve as a force for good in a "colorful" industry. Their message, directed toward tween and teen girls, has always been about purity, hope, strength, confidence and faith. Their song style has been only slightly less constant -- their fourth album, 2003's Different Kind of Free, modified their sound from power/sugar pop to pop rock, much like Rebecca St. James' slight tilt after her first few albums in the 1990s. Some of Zoegirl's heaviest hitters include "You Get Me" and the effervescent, slightly Carman-influenced "Anything Is Possible."
