Zombie Nation

Famous for his jock jam "Kernkraft 400," Zombie Nation reaches out to the greater alt-dance community with his fourth album. Situating itself between nu-electro touchstones like Boys Noize (for whom Z.N. has recorded) and Hot Chip's psychedelic pop, Zombielicious bashes out banger after high-spirited banger, but its oddball sound design and playful synthesizers keep it far more listenable under daylight circumstances than your average electro wallop. The grinding "Shottieville" and "Filterjerks" are reminders of how weird Zombie Nation can be while still inciting stadium riots.
